Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage switchboard, direct call traffic to the proper person, take accurate and complete messages.
Meet and greet visitors in a business-like and friendly manner
Receive, document, organize and distribute daily incoming mail
Prepare daily deposit for multiple entities.
Handles office tasks, such as filing, scanning, mailing, and generating reports
Handles incoming phone calls regarding insurance plan, coverages, and payment status
Handles incoming phone calls regarding membership. Assists in answering membership status questions, taking credit card payment for renewals, and directing membership questions to pertinent departments.
Functions as membership coordinator’s back up pertaining to duties within the membership database.
Provides assistance to group administrators in completing their enrollment application in order to receive health care coverage
Enroll all new applicants in our insurance program, and maintain proper documentation for all new enrollees
Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail
Perform other general office and clerical duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
2. Intermediate computer skills to include excel, Microsoft word, and letter merging
3. Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently
4. Excellent team player with the ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally
